Scientific Anglers System 4 Reel with Spare SpoolA Scientific Anglers System 4 fly reel with a spare spool, made by Hardy for Scientific Anglers. 2 5 8" diameter and set up for RHW. Fair used condition with a fair bit of cosmetic wear but completely fine mechanically. Adjustable drag. Smooth alloy foot. Single screw line guide. Nice smooth click. The reel packs into a cream and blue vinyl Hard zipper case (no bag or pouch for the spare spool).
Caliper spring is nice and strong and the bridged tensioner works fine
These reels were made from 1985-1988 and are super hard to find
lightly-used condition

Very nice casting rod and it was hard for me to not keep it for myself

Much of the lacquer and leading remains - very rare condition
The all-cork reel seat is mortised and has an oxidized pocket cap and ring
