Megan Boyd Framed Fly "Laxford"An excellent framed salmon fly by the legendary Scottish tyer Megan Boyd, entitled "Laxford" and tied on a 9 0 gut eye hook. Framed in a 8" x 6" shadowbox. There is a note of provenance on the back of the box from Paul Schmookler who purchased this fly in the 1980's from Jamie Maxtone Graham, one of Boyd's representatives in the United Kingdom.

The reel has a grey agate line guard which is unblemished
built to handle 700 yards of #30 backing and a 82' WF12 line
Comes with leather case with 7323 stamped on bottom
Oxidized fittings
This reel also comes in what appears to be the original leather case with the intials "LTS" impressed in the top
Another stunning example of a very rare Hardy reel
Includes hand-turned bronze and cork ferrule plug
The rod features moderately tempered cane with transparent amber colored wraps
